Handsome Baylor
Remember a couple months ago when I posted this handsome boy’s mama’s maternity session here on the blog? Welllll, the time for his newborn session has finally come and gone, and I’m obsessed!
I mean… How stunning is this little family?
Warm Flokati
To start his session, I wrapped him in a beautiful cream knit wrap and gently placed him into a rustic brown bucket for a couple of shots.
After that, I unwrapped him and got a different style of bucket pose.
Which is your favorite? I always love when my clients let me know what poses are their favorites so I can make sure to get those during their session!
Deep Blue
Once we finished up the first set, we moved on to a beautiful deep blue drop for a few poses. Since this little guy’s room is done in greys and blues, I wanted to make sure to have a few that his parents could hang up in there.
Just look at those sweet little smiles he gave us! It’s like some babies just know they’re having their pictures done.
Neutral Froggy
Since the froggy pose was one of this mama’s favorites, I wanted it to be on a neutral backdrop so she could hang it wherever she wanted in her home.
Did you know that this pose requires two images to be edited together in photoshop to do it safely? The baby should be supported by someone’s hands at all times.
Once we finished with froggy we got a few more poses on this neutral cream drop and moved onto the next!
Greige
These next poses are some of my personal favorites. I just love how you can really see how tiny and sweet your newborn really is. This sleepy newborn stage flies by before you even know it, and I love that I get to capture it so beautifully for my clients.
Family
Last but certainly not least, we did family portraits. I always encourage all of my clients to take advantage of this included portion of my newborn sessions.
Family portraits will be so precious to your little one when they’re grown and showing them to their own babies.
These are the images that will truly be passed on for generations.
