From start to finish, your maternity session experience will be nothing short of full service. I offer this luxury experience to every client I work with.

Step One

After your session fee is paid, we will work together to plan a perfectly unique and beautiful session for your family’s needs. I will ask you a series of questions, such as whether you would like your session to take place in my in home studio or outdoors, what type of location you prefer if outside, and if you have any heirlooms/special items you may want incorporated into the session. Once we get all those details settled, I’ll guide you through choosing wardrobe for yourself, spouse, and any children you may already have.

Step Two

SESSION DAY! Finally, it’s time for your session.

AT YOUR STUDIO MATERNITY SESSION: Once you arrive to the studio we will start by doing some standing up portraits in your first gown and transition into sitting and laying down poses. I will guide you through every step of the pose including the infamous question of “Where do I put my hands??” I will make sure every detail of the images we create are perfectly in place. Once you’ve warmed up to being in front of the camera a bit, we will move on to our next wardrobe pieces (whether that be a black body suit, luxury robe, fabric, or another gown) and move through a series of flattering poses of you by yourself, with your significant other, and any children you may already have.

AT YOUR OUTDOOR MATERNITY SESSION: Once you arrive at the outdoor location, we will get acquainted and let any children taking part in the session warm up and come out of their shell. Once everyone feels a little more comfortable, we will get started with your session. I will guide you and anyone else taking part through posing for images. With outdoor sessions that include children, I tend to take a more intimate/storytelling approach to my sessions. This way the children will feel more comfortable and the images will come out showing your genuine connection with each other. If you don’t already have children, we will start with more posed images and transition into (depending on your preference) more intimate, romantic, or fun styled portraits that show the true nature of your relationship with your significant other.

Step Three

The most EXCITING part! Your reveal/ordering appointment will take place one week after your session. This is where you’ll get to see and choose all of the very best images from your session, beautifully edited, printed, matted to 8x10, right off of my reveal wall. Every folio chosen from the reveal wall will come with a corresponding media sized digital; printable up to 8x10. After you choose your folios, we will discuss my Create-A-Collection process and adding beautiful heirloom products such as, hand crafted genuine leather/linen albums, framed canvases, metal prints, or canvas clusters to create stunning gallery walls, to your experience. Once we finish choosing the perfect products for your family and home, you’ll leave my studio with your boxed folios and small handmade gift in hand. Shortly after, I’ll send your corresponding digitals in an online gallery via your email. All other products may take up to two weeks to come in. Once they arrive, we will plan for you to come back to the studio to pick them up. If you are unable to pick them up, I will bring them to your home.
