Novak’s Newborn Session
When Novak’s momma first contacted me to chat about a newborn session, I was shocked when she told me not only was he already born, but he was a little over a week old! Thankfully one of my scheduled newborns for that month had been born a little early, so I was able to squeeze this handsome little guy in. I’m so glad too!
Catherine is a designer, and she wanted to add her touches into his session. When she got to the studio she had two duffel bags full of things she wanted to incorporate. So we worked together to come up with the perfect session to compliment her Viking themed decor throughout her home, and created BEAUTIFUL art for her walls.
The Viking theme wasn’t the only thing we made sure to capture though!
You see, both of Novak’s parents serve our country in the Army. His daddy was only able to spend two days with him before he was shipped overseas on deployment. So we had to surprise him with images of his precious baby boy with both of their uniforms.
Finally, we made sure to get poses that were most important to his mama! She found some that she fell in love with on Pinterest, so of course I was happy to recreate them for her.
Because his daddy will be overseas for nearly the entire first year of Novak’s life, his mom thought it was very important to make sure to capture not only his newborn stage, but every stage in between. So I will get to see him again in a couple months for his first milestone session, and I can’t wait to see how much he’s grown!
The milestones that we will freeze in time for his dad over the coming year will be irreplaceable to him. I can’t wait to create beautiful, heirloom, art for this family to enjoy for generations!
