Step One

After your session fee is paid, we will work together to plan a perfectly unique and beautiful session for your family’s needs. I will ask you a series of questions, such as whether you want your baby’s milestone session to be in the studio or outdoors, the way you decorate your home, what colors/theme the baby’s nursery is, if you have any color preferences for the session, and if you have any heirlooms you may want incorporated into the session. Once we get all those details settled, I’ll guide you through choosing wardrobe for yourself, spouse, and baby. If you have chosen to do an outdoor session, we will discuss what type of location you would like the session to take place and choose one together.

Step Two

SESSION DAY! Finally, it’s time for your sweet baby’s milestone session.

AT YOUR STUDIO MILESTONE SESSION: I will have bottled water and bagged snacks available for you and your family in the studio. During the session you’ll get to sit back and relax while I gently pose, and take beautiful images of your little one. For older babies, I may ask mommy or daddy to stand behind me and talk/sing to your baby or even hold your phone next to my camera and play their favorite cartoon or song. Most momma’s choose to stay in my studio area and casually watch, chat, or scroll on their phones when they’re not actively needed for the session. Dads tend to spend their time outside of the studio watching netflix once the family portion of the session is over but are more than welcome to stay and enjoy watching their little one have their portraits taken.

AT YOUR OUTDOOR MILESTONE SESSION: Once you arrive at the outdoor location, we will get acquainted and let your baby warm up and come out of their shell. Once everyone feels a little more comfortable, we will get started with your session. For outdoor milestone sessions, I tend to take a more intimate/storytelling approach in the way I shoot. This way, the child will feel more comfortable and the images will come out showing his/her genuine personality.

Step Three

The most EXCITING part! Your reveal/ordering appointment will take place one week after your session. This is where you’ll get to see and choose all of the very best images from your session, beautifully edited, printed, matted to 8x10, right off of my reveal wall. Every folio chosen from the reveal wall will come with a corresponding media sized digital; printable up to 8x10. After you choose your folios, we will discuss my Create-A-Collection process and adding beautiful heirloom products such as, hand crafted genuine leather/linen albums, framed canvases, metal prints, or canvas clusters to create stunning gallery walls, to your experience. Once we finish choosing the perfect products for your family and home, you’ll leave my studio with your boxed folios and small handmade gift in hand. Shortly after, I’ll send your corresponding digitals in an online gallery via your email. All other products may take up to two weeks to come in. Once they arrive, we will plan for you to come back to the studio to pick them up. If you are unable to pick them up, I will bring them to your home.
